Just had one of the best Sunday breakfast experiences ever. At a diner. The food (Western egg sammich on toasted hard roll and side of home fries) was diner-perfect. But it was the service that really shined. Savannah — at the counter — is outstanding. Smile, start-to-finish, quick, attentive, kept everyone taken-care-of. And, Alex, the owner, was no less customer-service attentive. He’s a former chef, and his attention to detail shows. Brava and Bravo!

We used Shirley’s Diner to cater our daughter’s baptism, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. I worked with Alex, who was incredibly polite, professional, and easy to work with. The food was delicious and we got so many compliments from our guests. They thoughtfully included everything we needed—extra food, plates, napkins, utensils, and condiments—which made hosting so much easier. Their attention to detail and kindness really stood out. We’re so grateful to Alex and the team at Shirley’s Diner for helping make the day so special. Highly recommend for any event or gathering!

Loved it. You know it's good when the place is wall to wall packed. It is small, so if you don't like being in close proximity of people, this may not be for you. The service was great. Super sweet and polite and pretty quick for how busy it was. My boyfriend found this gem and I was super happy that he did. We love ma and pop places. Kuddos to this diner and all the staff. I got the Brooklyn it has pastrami and eggs and the meat was soooo good.

So we tried to find a place to have lunch in Saratoga Springs, as we visited our youngest grandchild and moms. Eventually we found Shirley’s Diner. Well, it is an oasis amongst many dry spots in this area. The Split Pea soup was very hot and deliciously tasty. Loaded with ham bits, as it should be and very creamy. Definitely my go to place for Split Pea soup in this area. This plus one of my favorite soups and Shirley’s knows how to do it right. My tuna sandwich on toasted rye was just great and I am glad to have ordered to substitute the chips for the onion rings. These were awesome. Note: I have not tasted their chip, so I don’t know how these taste. But it is likely they are good as well. Maybe on the next visit. The coleslaw was very good too. Best of all, our server was courteous, kind, and friendly. You should take a moment of your day to enjoy this excellent local spot. PS. Portions are very generous and prices nice too.

I hadn't been here in about a year - it's off the beaten path, so I never think about it. Decided to go this morning and it was a great decision. The breakfast was perfectly cooked - they know how to do eggs 'over medium!' Did not feel rushed, which is always nice. Waitress came over a few times to make sure everything was good and that I had fresh coffee. Thank you! Reasonable priced, if you're in the area, try it out. Nice and clean!
